On Oct 2nd 2011 at 12 midnight CST the United States Military Space Division altered the trajectory of a Near Earth bound Comet by means of a high explosive hyper-ballistic intercept vehicle.
The actual impact of the NEB-comet is classified, but the inbound comet can be seen before the impact and then right after the impact. You can actually watch as the broken up comet then turns from it's Earth bound course, to then head, broken up, straight into the sun.
The impact of the broken up comet into the sun causes a HUGE Coronal Mass Ejection, which NASA did leave up on its SOHO website. Below are video evidence depicting all of this, despite NASA'S underhanded tricks of trying to hide what the United States Military Space Division actually accomplished.

download the same video C2.gif, the point were it comes in from the
bottom and impacts is now missing, as the picture now skips very fast
past 16:00 to 21:00 right at the very point it comes on screen (see
below compared to original )
